In January 2011, Adrian Roye & The Exiles opened for Michael Chorney, a producer and arranger who had received huge acclaim for his arrangements on Anais Mitchell’s Hadestown. Chorney enjoyed the band so much that he invited them to record with him in Vermont. The following summer, the Exiles arrived at Goose Coop, Chorney’s secluded studio, where they laid down the ten songs that form Reclaimed, due for official release in early 2014. The full band bring their distinctive acoustic music, described as ‘Afro-Folk’, to Hot Numbers for a special one-off performance.
