Paul Handyside was singer and songwriter with eighties indie darlings Hurrah! who had album releases on Kitchenware and Arista Records between 1982 and 1991. They played in Europe, USA and in 1988, with the backing of the British Council, toured the Middle East including Egypt, Jordan and Iraq. The Hurrah! back catalogue has recently been re-released on Cherry Red Records. In 2001 Handyside formed alt country group Bronze releasing two albums The statue in the stone and A common prayer. He then went solo with the release of Future's dream in 2007, which received great reviews. His song writing now blends elements of americana, pop, folk and English hymns. His second solo album “Wayward Son” is officially launched in January 2014.
