Rachel Clark

Cambridge-based singer songwriter Rachel Clark is emerging as one of the UK’s hottest new talents. The NMG Award winning solo artist Clark writes and performs with a maturity and complexity beyond her 16 years of age. Her poetic and coded lyrics invite you to develop your own relationship with her music, and her sassy compositions are delivered with great subtlety.

Rachel’s natural, unpretentious vocals and engaging songs are earning her recognition as a voice that connects across all age groups, performing regularly to audiences at Cambridge’s top venues including Lodestar Festival, The Junction, Strawberry Fair and The Portland Arms.

Recorded when she was only 14 Rachel’s demo EP 'SAFER' put her on the map and was featured by BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire, and the Dermot O’Leary Show on Radio 2.

Following on from SAFER, Rachel’s debut EP ‘INVASION’ is now seen by many as a sonic manifesto of things to come, catching the imagination of BBC Introducing, 6 Music and online music reviewers who see her as having the potential to become one of the most enduring artists and songwriters of her generation.

What the reviewers are saying:

“If Rachel Clark’s debut EP Invasion was to break into the charts, the songs on it could be universally adored by people regardless of age”  Drunken Werewolf

“Comparing her to a modern day Joni Mitchell, these songs aren’t hiding any gloomy undertones Joni is known for, but that’s to Rachel Clark’s credit, she is one of the most genuinely easy to like songwriters I’ve heard in a long while -  and her voice is the prettiest thing you’ll hear today” Raw Meat
