April 2025 is shaping up to be another exciting month at our Gwydir Street cafe. We’re thrilled to bring you a diverse lineup of events, blending the best in live music, art, and spoken word. Mark your calendars for these special evenings coming up!

Musical Highlights

Thursday, April 3rd: We’re kicking off the month with the incredible duo of Liam Noble & Geoff Simkins. Their recent album “Lucky Teeth” offers a unique take on music, contrasting standards like “Stella By Starlight” with unexpected gems like Duran Duran’s “Save A Prayer” and the traditional folk song “Black Waterside”. It’s sure to be a memorable performance. 

Friday, April 4th & Friday, April 18th: ROLL ON returns! Join us for a night of electronic beats, relaxed vibes, and great drinks. Plus, we’ll have Steak & Honour, offering delicious food to complement your evening out. 

Thursday, April 17th: Prepare to be captivated by The Exu. They create layered, intense, creative, and beautiful, thought-provoking and genre-fluid improvised music. This is a performance that will push boundaries and inspire.

Artistic Evenings

* Wednesday, April 9th: Unleash your inner artist at our much-loved Drink & Draw night. We’re excited to welcome illustrator Karin Eklund, who will guide us through a fun and friendly evening of drawing, drinking, and artistic feats as she does each month! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, all are welcome. 

Poetry in the Spotlight

* Thursday, April 24th: We’re partnering with Mill Road Fringe to bring you an evening of poetry. Enjoy readings by talented local poets, sharing their words and stories.
