Join us for another Roastery late with live jazz, pizza from the Hot Numbers bakery and a licensed bar!
Headlining are Cambridge Youth Jazz Band – a seven piece band bringing together the finest young jazz musicians recruited from the Cambridgeshire Youth Jazz Orchestra, Cambridgeshire Holiday Orchestra and Saffron Centre for Young Musicians.
Promising to please every jazz fan, The Youth Band’s repertoire includes standards from jazz icons Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock and Paul Desmond; Bossa Nova compositions by Antonia Jobim and Kenny Dorham and lesser known but exciting songs from writers including Michel Camillo and Sonny Stitt.
Also performing are The GOODS – a four piece jazz funk band bought together by Josh Kemp’s Cambridgeshire Holiday Orchestra jazz workshops in 2016. The band’s name is both an acronym and a promise, in song writing and performing, they are the GOODS.
With pizza made to order direct from our very own bakery, craft beer from the boys at Brewboard and a well stocked bar, come experience The Roastery after dark.
Entry is free with a collection made for the musicians
