Appearing as part of The Cambridge Jazz Festival this rip-roaring 9 piece band will play the exciting blues infused music of Charles Mingus at Hot Numbers Roastery (Shepreth) Arranged by Martin Kemp, Mingusology will play classic Mingus works with the objective of preserving the Mingus elements of surprise, danger, commitment and spontaneity. Take the `A’ train (otherwise know as the Cambridge to Kings Cross line) and skip town for some incendiary jazz! Suggested donation £5

“Anybody can play weird, that’s easy. What’s hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple complicated is commonplace. Making the complicated simple –awesomely simple–that’s creativity” Charles Mingus 1972
