Good news everybody! The gigs are back and begin on Friday 3rd February.
We’re excited to organise and host a night on the first Friday of every month… but first things first we need to get
this one up and running so please, if you’re interested in gigs and a vibrant Cambridge community, then come along to the first of the 2023 line up on Friday 3rd February from 6pm, music to begin around 7pm. We really do want live music healthily back on the Cambridge map and we just can’t do it without your support to spread the word and let’s get this going.
This month has been organised by Kevin Flanagan, who has had a large part to play in our musical history. He has
arranged for the talented Brigitte Beraha and John Turville to grace us with their presence. Here is some info:
“The award-winning vocalist Brigitte Beraha (a recent nominee for ‘Best Vocalist’ in the 2021 and 2022 Parliamentary
Awards) and John Turville have performed together for over 15 years. As well as collaborating together in the E17 Large Ensemble and recording two albums of original music with the Solstice jazz sextet, Brigitte and John recorded the highly acclaimed ‘Red Skies’ album of standards and originals with the late Bobby Wellins in 2018, at the renowned Artesuono studio in Udine, Italy.
Their music explores standards and originals, focusing on the sonic nuance of acoustic instruments, the harmonic colour of Ravel and Messiaen, minimalist textures and extended techniques but with plenty of rhythmic groove, all with a solid grounding in the jazz and classical tradition.“
Brigitte and John plan to record a new album of original music this spring with Robbie Robson, and tour in autumn 2023-24.

£10 standing entry only / seating if available on the night.
Additional food will be available at £5 per dish on the night.
Due to the tickets, there will be no collection on the night as we have done previously.
