Etago – Kenya
Kicking off 2025 with a bang — meet The Etago.
Our first special release of the year is a bold one: an anaerobic co-fermented coffee from our friends at Omwani / Lot 20. In the cup, we’re tasting juicy nectarine and a splash of Pimm’s — a profile not far off the vibrant character of classic Kenyan coffees.
We’re roasting this one in small batches, with fresh bags going out every Wednesday. Roasted, bagged, and shipped same day. Stocks limited and will be replenished once a week.

Additional Information
Etago is a naturally processed lot that has been anaerobically fermented with Ava*. This blend of Ruiri 11, Batian, SL28 and SL34 was cultivated in Kisii County, Kenya, between 1400 – 2200 m.a.s.l, and processed by Misadhi Coffee in the ward of Rongo, Migori County.
Kuria/Itumbe/Etago/Oyugis are wards close to the washing station where Lot 20 have set up buying stations to make it easier for the farmers to deliver cherry – It was decided that the wards would be processed separately for transparency purposes and to identify any areas of improvements. The proposed aim is to offer seedlings and agronomy training for any wards that are struggling throughout each harvest.
*Ava is a naturally occurring mold that’s part of the Koji family.
