We will also be taking part in a cupping to showcase the many origins and varieties of coffee out there. This Training session will be held in groups of 2 to 4 and will last approximately an hour.

Want to learn more about the journey of coffee before it reaches your cup? Then this course is for you!
The training will cover green coffee, its multiple origins from across the world, varieties, processing styles and more – these are the variables which take place before it even arrives at our Shepreth Roastery.
After this, we will guide you through how to use scoring sheets and take part in an industry standard ‘cupping’ session to get a feel for how we evaluate new coffees that come in. The idea is to explain on-the-go, helping you gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the variety of coffees, regularly referring back to discussions earlier in the training.

By the end of the course you should understand the Following’

  • Identify origins of coffee
  • Understand basic processing of coffee.
  • Be able to communicate sensory information.
  • Describe flavors and aromas.

The training will be held at our roastery in Shepreth
