Dan Wilde 19:30 - 22:00

Dan Wilde is a talented singer songwriter and performer whose lyrics have been described as “deeply personal and introspective but engrossing and charismatic too” (Folkwords). Though originally from Blackpool, Dan is now based in Canterbury, and has been performing his own brand of richly observant folk, both in the UK and abroad for the past 5 years, developing a reputation as "a fantastic songwriting talent who without a doubt will deserve and demand your attention” (Eclectically Challenged). As well as a natural songsmith, Dan’s guitar playing has been hailed as ‘stunning’ (Maverick Magazine), and he was recently approached to become an endorsee for Fylde guitars.
Wilde has released two albums to date, ‘This Is The Place’ in 2010 and ‘With Fire in Mind’ in 2013. He has also toured in America and the Czech Republic as a support artist for Irish troubadour Mark Geary. In the last two years he has played support to artists such as Ethan Johns, Cara Dillon, Karine Polwart, Sam Carter, John Smith and Martin Taylor to name a few, as well as performing at some of the UK’s most loved folk festivals, including The Cambridge Folk Festival, Beverley Festival and Galtres. He is currently recording a new album, and 2014 will also see him touring in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Holland.
