Matt Roberts Sextet

Steak and Honour will be serving burgers 6-9pm

London-based trumpeter Matt Roberts assembles an all-star sextet to pay tribute to the great cornetist/composer Nat Adderley. Nat had an extensive career recording nearly 100 albums, many of which featured his brother Julian "Cannonball" Adderley with whom he pioneered the 'Soul Jazz' movement. Nat also recorded with the likes of Sonny Rollins, Ron Carter, Jimmy Heath and Kenny Clarke. This concert is part of a tour celebrating the cornetist's diverse career. Expect dynamic, high-octane solos, as well as a prominent gospel, blues and soul presence in the compositions.
