At Hot Numbers, we obsess over the provenance, processing, and roasting of our coffee beans. Dark Room Chocolate applies that exact same philosophy to cacao. Stripping away the emulsifiers, artificial vanilla, and preservatives found in commercial chocolate, they craft their bars from the ground up using only two ingredients: premium single-origin cacao and sugar.
Ethically Sourced, Small-Batch Craft
Great chocolate starts at the farm. Dark Room sources their beans exclusively from cooperatives and organic estates that prioritize fair trade practices and environmental sustainability. By controlling the entire bean-to-bar process in small batches, they unlock the unique characteristics of each harvest. Depending on the origin, the resulting bars fall into two distinct categories:
- Bright: Vibrant, fruity, and acidic profiles.
- Dark: Deep, earthy, and richly comforting profiles.
The Perfect Coffee Pairing
Specialty coffee deserves specialty chocolate. The natural complexity of a two-ingredient bar makes it an incredible pairing tool for your favorite brew.
- Drinking a naturally processed, fruity filter coffee? Pair it with a "Bright" origin bar to elevate those jammy, berry tasting notes.
- Pulling a rich, traditional espresso? Snap off a piece of a "Dark" profile bar to complement the heavy body and roasted depths of your cup.
