Additional Information
A gripping and ghostly look into the life and music of Delta Blues legend Charlie Patton through a dream of history in the soul of a man from the English Delta of the East Anglian Fen. Through Gods of the ages, civil wars, civil rights, droughts, fires and flood, Patton's pattern is recurrent, the blues walks like a man and the Black Dog howls. This omnibus version of Delta Tom's mini-series documentary takes a look into the life and times of Charlie Patton/Charley Patton; It's time to take a call from History and a delve through shelves to crack the mystery behind Charlie Patton's influences and his legacy. This will be followed by a Q&A with Delta Tom and live music.
Now in its fourth year Blues at the Bridge (19th-21st June) is a celebration of blues music and dance across Cambridge. The festival pulls together three nights of live music with both local and more far-flung musicians, plus two full days of dance classes with internationally renowned dance teachers.
