Additional Information
What You Will Experience:
The Raw Material: Get hands-on with unroasted green coffee and learn how sourcing, origin, and regional characteristics shape the flavor before the heat is even applied.
The Transformation: Step right up to the roaster. You will watch for the "first crack," learn how time and temperature dictate flavor, and actually roast your very own batch under the guidance of our experts.
The Prep (Grinding & Brewing): Discover why grind size is the ultimate "make or break" variable in your kitchen. We’ll teach you the techniques behind a perfect batch brew, focusing on precise water-to-coffee ratios and optimal extraction.
The Palate Test: Experience a true "lightbulb moment" with a side-by-side taste comparison of freshly roasted coffee versus week-old grounds. Learn to identify oxidation and the loss of aromatics.
The Social: Roasting is thirsty and hungry work! We’ll wrap up the technical side of the day with freshly made pizza and an informal Q&A to pick the brains of our roasters.
