Booking Policy & Kitchen Hours

Joining us for Brunch or Pizza? Securing a table is simple.

While we always recommend booking ahead, please feel free to pop in if you don’t see online availability today! Although we can’t guarantee an immediate table, we will always do our absolute best to seat you as quickly as possible.

Please note: To seat as many guests as possible, some of our larger tables are designed for communal/shared seating. Certain areas at The Roastery—including our Mezzanine Sofas and Garden Tables—are kept unreserved and available for walk-ins only.

Cafe Opening Hours

• The Roastery: Sun–Thu: 7am –5pm | Fri & Sat: 7am-8pm
• Gwydir Street: Mon-Sun: 7am-5pm
• Trumpington Street: Mon-Sun: 7am-6pm

Kitchen Hours

• All Brunch Kitchens: Mon–Sun: 8am-2pm
• Pizza Kitchen @ The Roastery: Sun–Thu: 12pm-2pm | Fri & Sat: 12pm-7pm (Last collection is 7:30pm)

Reservation Terms

• Brunch or Pizza Reservations: Table bookings are reserved for guests dining from our Brunch or Pizza menus. Please note, we do not take reservations for drinks or counter items only - Cakes, toasted sourdough sandwiches, filled croissants, and fresh coffees are available all day long at this location
• Special Requests: Have dietary needs or seating preferences? Let us know in the booking notes—we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
• Running Late? We will hold your table for 10 minutes past your booking time. If you’re running behind and need more time, please contact The Roastery directly. After 10 minutes, we may need to release your table to walk-in guests and mark your reservation as a no-show.
• Please note: Repeated no-shows may result in the inability to honour future bookings.
• Duration: Tables are reserved for 90 minutes.
• Updates & Cancellations: You can modify or cancel your booking online up to 2 hours before your reservation time. After that, please call The Roastery directly.
• Large Groups (12+ Guests): For bookings of more than 12 people, please email us directly at wrights@hotnumberscoffee.co.uk. If you are interested in venue hire or holding an exclusive use event at The Roastery, please contact events@hotnumberscoffee.co.uk.
• Policy Updates: Our reservation terms may be updated periodically; the latest version posted here applies to all new bookings.
• Wi-Fi Access: All guests enjoy 1 hour of complimentary Wi-Fi access. To extend your connection, simply make a purchase at the counter to receive a single-use code for another free period. Access can be extended with subsequent purchases. Please note that to preserve a relaxing environment for everyone, certain areas of The Roastery are designated as laptop-free zones where work devices are discouraged.
• Weekend Tech & Workspace Policy - Unplug & Unwind: Weekend peak hours are all about great coffee, good music, and shared company. To make sure there’s space for everyone to relax, we run a screen-free policy across our venues on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Gwydir Street & Trumpington Street: Laptops, tablets, and work setups aren't permitted anywhere in the venue over the weekend
• The Roastery (Shepreth): Weekend laptop use is limited strictly to our designated tech table, while our mezzanine sofas remain a 7-day-a-week screen-free sanctuary for socialising and kicking back.
