We’ve got some brilliant news to share over your next brew. This week, Hot Numbers Coffee was awarded 'Highly Commended' for Business of the Year (Medium) at the Cambridge Independent Business Awards!
Simon and Nilu traded the roastery for the red carpet, heading down to the spectacular Great Hall at King's College for an absolutely fantastic evening celebrating the very best of our local business scene. Being recognised alongside such an inspiring lineup of Cambridgeshire talent is a massive honour, and it was great to connect with so many passionate local leaders.
Getting a nod like this is a true credit to the whole Hot Numbers Coffee Team —now a team over 100 strong! It’s a real testament to our incredible founder, Simon, who has built a brand we are all so proud to be part of; one that has truly grown into Cambridge's leading coffee business. From the early-morning baking of fresh sourdough to meticulously roasting our seasonal single-origins, and our baristas pulling the perfect espresso day in, day out—it’s a massive team effort.
We certainly can't forget about the tea, either. Kandula Tea is a major part of our offering, both for those enjoying a pot in our cafes and as a core staple of the wholesale solutions we proudly supply to businesses across East Anglia.
And, of course, a huge thank you goes out to you, our community. Whether you're dropping in for a daily 6oz white, grabbing a loaf of bread, or joining us for a live jazz gig, you make our spaces what they are.
We’d also like to raise a massive glass (or a perfectly poured coffee) to the overall category winners, Grand Arcade. It’s a hugely deserved win, and we’re proud to share a category with such a dynamic local name.
